Rock Fall Netting
Double Twisted Hexagonal Wire Mesh Roll (DT Mesh)
Sant Wires’ DT Mesh stands as an essential element in our applications for rockfall mitigation and safeguarding against natural hazards. Crafted from our double twisted hexagonal woven steel wire, DT Mesh serves as a drapery system, effectively preventing the descent of rocks and debris onto roads and railways. The unique double twist design endows the steel wire mesh with the ability to endure the impact of falling rocks, ensuring it remains intact in the event of wire breakage.
The hot-dip galvanized wire employed in manufacturing the double twisted hexagonal wire mesh is soft annealed, featuring low carbon content mild steel wire with a robust zinc coating in adherence to IS 280, EN10224/ASTM A 641 standards. To fortify its resistance against aggressive natural conditions, an additional layer of advanced polymer/Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) coating, measuring 0.50mm in thickness, is uniformly applied.
High Tensile Wire Rope Cables (Boulder Net)
Rockfall drapery or basic drapery systems are deployed on rock slopes to confine loose and descending debris. The potential danger posed by rockfall hazards to infrastructure or installations situated at the base of these slopes is significant.
We offer galvanised steel wire rope nets. Clips intersect and secure the wire ropes, providing a higher tensile strength compared to individual steel wires. While the steel wire rope can be employed alone to obstruct large stones, it is frequently combined with a chain-link fence or hexagonal wire mesh to effectively block both large and small rocks. This comprehensive solution comes in a single, easily installable product, thereby saving both project costs and time on the rock-face or slope.
